"I don't know what frame of mind they (Inter) will bring into this match but we are in a wonderful mood after our Champions League win," the Brazilian midfielder told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"It will be a usual derby. There will be a lot of feeling on both sides, a big desire to win.
"Only one thing is certain, after the three goals I've always scored against them, all I can think about is getting a fourth on Sunday."
Milan enjoyed huge success over their arch rivals last season, notching up three wins and a draw including consecutive Champions League semi-final victories.
But Carlo Ancelotti's side - currently eight points behind leaders Juventus - have had an indifferent start to this season's Serie A campaign and have a defensive crisis on their hands.
Milan captain Paolo Maldini is a big doubt after picking up a thigh strain against Schalke, while fellow defensive stalwart Alessandro Nesta is still recovering from flu.
MANCINI IN ATTACKING DILEMMA
A win for Inter - currently two points behind their city rivals - would help them leapfrog Milan into second.
But coach Roberto Mancini has an attacking dilemma on his hands after Alvaro Recoba picked up an injury in last week's 1-0 win over Ascoli.
Recoba has been preferred to out-of-form Obafemi Martins to partner Adriano up front in recent times, and Mancini could opt to play the Brazilian alone in attack.
Marco Materazzi is also an injury scare after limping off in Inter's midweek Champions League draw with Rangers.
