Lecce bring in Baldini

Lecce have appointed former Parma boss Silvio Baldini as successor to Angelo Gregucci, who was sacked on Tuesday after the club suffered their fourth defeat in five games this season.

Gregucci took over during the close season from popular Czech coach Zdenek Zeman who had guided the southern team to a creditable 11th place last season.

The club said that all of Gregucci's staff had also been dismissed following Sunday's loss to Empoli.

Italian media have suggested that former Parma and Palermo coach Silvio Baldini is the frontrunner to replace Gregucci.
