Dudek was absolutely furious after Bent apparently dived to win a penalty and then converted it to set Charlton on route to a 2-0 win.
"Bent was, I think, one yard ahead of me. He dived, you know," said Dudek on Friday.
"When he was on the floor he was saying 'sorry, I dived, I did dive'. He was scared of getting booked. But when the ref said 'penalty' he said nothing, fumed the Polish international.
Liverpool could have cut the gap behind second-placed Manchester United to three points with two games in hand with a win. A lost opportunity that kept Dudek in rage.
"I said 'tell him. Tell him you dived'. The referee insisted it was a penalty," the Pole explained.
"He said I had touched him. How could I have touched him when he was one yard in front of me?"
And the old issue of video refereeing was soon brought up by the keeper.
"Maybe it's time for video technology if it will stop people diving," Dudek suggested.
"If you have a situation where teams miss out on European football it could cost them millions of pounds, and all because of an incorrect decision."
What about repeatedly coming off your line during the penalty shoot-out of the last Champions League to save penalties, Jerzy? Does that require video?
PALETTA SET FOR 'POOL TALKS
Liverpool are set to hold talks with Banfield's Argentine defender Gabriel Paletta when the player travels to England at the weekend.
"Paletta will travel to England to discuss terms with Liverpool club executives," said a statement on www.clubabanfield.com.ar.
"He will travel on Sunday after the game against River Plate, it added.
Liverpool have required the player to pass a medical before discussing personal terms.
Paletta, 20, won the Under-20 World Cup with Argentina last year, and is hoping to get a taste of Premiership action.
"It would be a great opportunity. It would be a good move for the club as well as for me," he said.
Banfield president Carlos Portell confirmed in an interview with Argentine newspaper Ole that discussions were on the right track.
"The discussions are very advanced. The only remaining things to be sorted are the minor details but I don't think they will be a problem," Portell explained.
God willing, we will have everything sorted out before the end of the weekend," he then concluded.
The same newspaper reported that the transfer should cost Liverpool an estimated amount of 3 million euros.
DJEMBA-DJEMBA FACING FINE
Cameroon midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba faces a fine from Aston Villa after failing to report back for duty following his country's exit from the African Nations Cup, manager David O'Leary said on Friday.
The 24-year-old was needed for Saturday's Premier League match at home to Newcastle, but the former Manchester United player has not been contacted since Cameroon's quarter-final defeat by Ivory Coast in Egypt on Feb. 4, O'Leary said.
"I can't speculate as we've not been able to make contact," O'Leary told the BBC website. "He has a fair chance of his wage packet being lighter at the end of the month.
"We were hoping for him to be back and were pinning our hopes on him returning on Thursday."
Djemba-Djemba joined Villa from United in January 2005 but made only six league appearances for the Midlands club last season and has played just four times for the Villans in the current campaign.
Aston Villa are 13th in the Premier League.
