Henry confirms loyalty

Thierry Henry has pacified worried Arsenal fans by insisting he will remain at the struggling Highbury outfit beyond the end of next season. "The truth is I love this club and I've made my mind up to stay," he told Britain's The Sun newspaper.

"I can say to all my fans and the people who care about me I want to lead the team out in the new stadium."
The announcement will come as a great boost to Highbury manager Arsene Wenger, who has been under fire recently due to Arsenal's abject Premiership form, which has seen their attractive but one-dimensional playing style overcome by organised and determined Premiership sides such as Bolton.
The Arsenal boss had previously defended Henry's no-sign contract position by saying "You accept when players are close to 29, it is their last contract and they wonder 'what do I do now?'
"It is healthy. I would not rush him into a decision. He has to do it when he is ready. You want your players to be committed to it when they do it because they really believe it."
Arsenal face Cardiff in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
