Rasmus Hojlund's future at Old Trafford is uncertain as it emerged that Manchester United are hoping to bring in Benjamin Sesko, having already signed Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. Despite Ruben Amorim bolstering his frontline, the Danish striker is determined to "stay and fight" for his spot as United's No. 9. The 22-year-old joined in 2023 for £72m from Atalanta but has struggled for goals.

Rasmus Hojlund has asserted his intention to "stay and fight" for his spot at Manchester United as the club close in on bringing a new striker to the club.
United are reported to have made RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko their main target as they look to fix the goalscoring issue that plagued them last season.
Goals have been a glaring issue for United in the Premier League for several seasons, having not scored more than 60 in a domestic campaign since the 2020/21 campaign.
But last year saw them score just 44 in the league as they suffered their worst top-flight campaign in 51 years, and not a single player reached double-digit goals in the league.
Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have been brought in to shore up a misfiring frontline, but Hojlund's future at Old Trafford is up in the air as another No. 9 cuold be set to join.
"I think my plan is very clear and that is for me to stay and fight for my spot, whatever happens," Hojlund said after United's friendly win over Bournemouth, in which he opened the scoring."

He continued: "I'm still very young. I think people forget that sometimes. I'm only 22.
"Obviously, not every striker is scoring 100 goals at the age of 22, but I've learned a lot, I think you can see in my game. I'm starting to develop and become even better in the basics.
"Now it's just about for me to sharpen myself, and I've done very well in the pre-season so far. Just focusing on continuing that."
The Dane, who scored just four Premier League goals last season, added that he is comfortable with competition for the striker spot at United, believing that it will sharpen both him and the team as a whole.
"Competition is fine with me," he stressed. "It sharpens me. I'm more than ready. I'm feeling sharp, so I'm welcoming everything that comes. I think it's good with competition, and it only sharpens the team."
He admitted that he has had a lack of support up front since joining the club. Joshua Zirkzee was brought in last season but also struggled, and the pair scored just seven league goals between them.
"Obviously when I came, [Anthony] Martial was there as well," Hojlund explained.
"He had a lot of injuries, so I obviously had to take a lot of the game time. That's just part of it, you're not going to tell me that I shouldn't be playing because I want to play every game.
"But obviously I could have done with some help in terms of sharing the games a bit, especially in the beginning. But I feel like I've matured a lot and I feel like I'm ready for what's coming."
Amorim 'really happy' with Hojlund
United head coach Ruben Amorim was supportive of Hojlund for his pre-season performances and stressed that he is "really happy" with his striker's contributions, but admitted he is unsure of what will happen in the transfer market.
"The important thing is that people focus on the goals and we suffer a lot because of the lack of goals," Amorim said. "But I think not just the goals, but the way he connects the play.
"Every time we have to kick the ball, we are kicking the ball when we are more pressed. His ability to hold the defender and to connect in the support is helping us a lot to play better. And we are playing better because he is playing better."

Hojlund had been linked with a return to Serie A earlier in the summer, with both Lazio and former club Atalanta reportedly interested in the striker.
"I am really happy with Rasmus," Amorim said. "I don't know what is going to happen until the end of the market. The important thing is that the strikers that are here are working really well, are improving, are helping the team and that is the most important thing.
"The important thing is that Rasmus is scoring goals. He's connecting really well with the team. He's improving. Again, I don't know what is going to happen until the market is closed."
