One in four would sell Alexander Isak as Anthony Gordon backed to stay - Fans vote on Newcastle United squad
Newcastle United had a 2024/25 season to remember after qualifying for the UEFA Champions League as well as winning the Carabao Cup, ending a decades-long trophy drought. But as the club look forward, there are issues within the squad to address ahead of the new campaign, not least the future of their star striker Alexander Isak. Fans have been having their say on who should stay or go.

Almost one in four fans believe Newcastle United should sell Alexander Isak as uncertainty over his St James’ Park future continues to dominate the club's summer.
Following interest from Premier League rivals Liverpool, including a rejected bid from The Reds, Isak has been left unsettled and did not join the club on their pre-season tour of Asia.
Despite the Swede returning to training in the UK, the saga looks set to rumble on with Isak - who has scored 62 times in black and white over three years as well as helping Newcastle end their 56-year trophy drought last term - seeing his popularity among some supporters take a hit.
TNT Sports asked fans which players in Newcastle's current squad they would keep or sell, with Isak backed by 76% to remain in the North East.
Bruno Guimaraes, Dan Burn and Sandro Tonali proved the most popular players in the squad with over 90% of fans voting to keep them at the club.

Also polling at over 80% were the likes of Joelinton and Tino Livramento, but also Anthony Gordon, another player whose future appears to be up in the air amid links with Arsenal.
The winger suffered something of a dip in form towards the end of last season, but fans appear to want him to stay and get back to his best.
Eddie Howe’s side are back in the UEFA Champions League and have - as things stand - only brought in Anthony Elanga, and Aaron Ramsdale on loan.
The club will be expected to strengthen further if they are to make an impact both at home and in Europe, which may also mean cutting some players loose.
Somewhat ruthlessly, fans are less enthused about keeping club captain Jamaal Lascelles, who polled at just 46% to remain, along with Emil Krafth, Matt Targett and John Ruddy as the only players receiving less than 50% of support.
