Nottingham Forest 0-3 Chelsea result - Ange Postecoglou sacked as Forest manager after Chelsea cruise to victory at City Ground

Have been incredibly fortunate not to ship an opener. Some of the passing has been wretched for the visitors. Both in attack and at the back.

Garnacho on run down left flank. Tries to bend a ball with outside of right boot into the box, but straight into the arms of Sels. Poor conclusion to that attack.

Reece James uncorks a shot from distance, but Sels is down quickly to make a comfortable stop for Forest. 0-0 heading for the half-hour mark.

This time a free-kick from out wide somehow evades the white shirts. Lavia gets a touch before Murillo just fails to turn ball back across goal.

This time Williams with a cross into the Chelsea area that is swept away before he overhits a pass looking for Gibbs-White that runs out of play. "Forest aggressive, man to man and trying to play higher tempo," says Lucy Ward on TNT Sports.

Must be happy with this start to the afternoon. Now all they require is a goal to go with it.

This could really come back to haunt the home side as Morgan Gibbs-White knocks a finish wide after slack play at the back by Romeo Lavia before he can't turn home a cross at the back post on the stretch. Somehow the visitors survive.

Far from it. The visitors have only had five touches so far in the Forest box. Which is not really going to cut it at his level.

Chelsea manager was fined £8,000 for celebrating the winner against Liverpool and suspended with a spot in the stands his punishment. Looks content with his lot so far.

The white shirts of Chelsea being pushed back with Trevoh Chalobah almost setting up Anderson for the opener and Sanchez halting a tricky pass back by Malo Gusto. Warning signs are there for the visitors.

"Nottingham Forest have been a lot more aggressive in how they're playing in this system. Elliot Anderson lost momentum of the whole situation [when he was about to shoot].

But it is Forest with two very decent openings in first 10 minutes. Failed to trouble Sanchez in the visting goal on both occasions. Which says it all.

Anderson with chance to fire a shot at goal from the Gibbs-White pass, but he turns inside and looses his footing at key moment. What a chance passed up. It remains 0-0.

Morato is late on João Pedro as he pulls him back with Taiwo Awoniyi then felled by Marc Cucurella.

Always a strong feature of any Ange Postecoglou side, but Taiwo Awoniyi is a bit too keen and ends up bundling Acheampong to the deck. Sels is then forced to claw out a cross after some fine work by Neto.

Chelsea giving away possession in their own half. Ball falls nicely to Awoniyi, but he nudges the finish wide of goal after losing his balance. That was a very decent opportunity to at least work the goalkeeper.

No wins and no clean sheets for Forest under Postecoglou in seven matches. And five defeats too in this bleak run. Will it all end today? Their fans have to hope so. Forest get the ball moving.

"It is important they [Forest] start on the front foot," comments Peter Crouch on TNT Sports. "They need to prove they want this manager at the football club."

"If ever this is a game where a home team need to get their noses ahead, and set this place alight, it is today," agrees Glenn Hoddle.
