Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has revealed he was approached by Bayern Munich during his time at Monaco.
Mbappe came through the youth ranks in the principality after joining the club at 14, and after impressing in the first-team during the 2016/17 campaign, he was snapped up by Paris Saint-Germain.
He initially joined PSG on loan and, after scoring 21 goals across all competitions, was signed permanently in the summer of 2018 in a deal worth €180 million.
But the Parisians weren’t the only ones keen on signing the talented forward, who has revealed he was of interest to another European giant at the time.
"Many clubs approached me," Mbappe told BILD. "Bayern approached me when I was a bit younger and able to leave Monaco.
"Dortmund also inquired. And RB Leipzig. And those are just the three clubs I remember. Maybe there were others, but I don't remember."
Mbappe joked: "Everyone's asking now, but it's a bit too late."

And it’s Bayern that Mbappe is tipping for success in Germany this season. "The Bundesliga is Bayern. They will win," he predicted.
The Frenchman also expects PSG to claim yet another Ligue 1 title, but found it tougher when calling the Premier League winner for this season.
Mbappe said: "Of course, Liverpool has to be mentioned first and foremost, as they're determined to win one title after another.
"But I also have high hopes for Arsenal, because the core of the team has known each other for a long time, and that's a crucial factor in football.
"And Manchester City is always at the forefront anyway, with Pep Guardiola and Erling Haaland."
When pushed to pick one of the teams, the 26-year-old admitted: "That's tough. Maybe Arsenal, maybe it will be their year. It would certainly be easier to say City or Liverpool."

Madrid have enjoyed a strong start to the new season, winning their opening three La Liga games under new manager Xabi Alonso, with Mbappe scoring three goals in that time.
Los Blancos are hoping for a stronger campaign this time around after seeing Barcelona sweep up the domestic honours and losing out to Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.
Mbappe has so far been impressed by Alonso, who spent five seasons at the Bernabeu as a player between 2009 and 2014.
"I had a great impression of him," Mbappe said. "You see a guy who wants to succeed. He knows the club perfectly because he played for Real Madrid himself.

"At the moment we're just trying to implement what he tells us. We're trying to understand the game plan he has for us – and then we'll see what happens.
"Our start was good with three wins, of course, which is really positive, but we have to improve, we have to keep working, we have to keep pushing ourselves because we know how difficult it is to win trophies."
Mbappe added: "I think we learned a lot from last season, but it's time to show what we've learned. Of course, that will take some time.
"This season is really important for the club, but we're also approaching the World Cup, so it's also important for every player who wants to get there, including me."
