The matches Ballon d'Or 2025 contender Ousmane Dembele could miss for Paris Saint-Germain due to 'serious' injury, including key Champions League tie

Paris Saint-Germain duo Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue are expected to miss the club's UEFA Champions League clash with Barcelona after the pair suffered injuries during France's 2-0 win over Ukraine. Both were integral to PSG's Champions League triumph last season, and the club start their title defence against Atalanta following the international break.

Ousmane Dembele is expected to be out for around six weeks after he sustained a "serious" hamstring injury.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward picked up the injury during France's 2-0 win over Ukraine.
It was a doubly painful night for PSG who, before witnessing an injury to Dembele, had seen Desire Doue leave the pitch with a calf injury that will keep him out for around four weeks.
Dembele had replaced his injured club-mate at the start of the second half, only to suffer an injury of his own 10 minutes before the end of their World Cup qualifier. The 28-year-old was then replaced by Liverpool's Hugo Ekitike.
PSG confirmed the recovery lengths for both players, with each likely set to miss the side's UEFA Champions League match against Barcelona on October 1, live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
He is expected to miss the start of the club's packed autumn schedule with Ligue 1 matches against Lens, Marseille, Auxerre in September, and Lille at the beginning of October.
He will also miss their opening Champions League fixture with Atalanta.
The club offered a medical update on Dembele and Doue, which read: "After leaving the pitch injured during the match between Ukraine and France on Friday, Ousmane Dembele has suffered a serious injury to his right hamstring. He is expected to be unavailable for around six weeks."
"Also picking up an injury during the encounter, Desire Doue suffered a strain in his right calf and will be out for around four weeks."
A week after the end of the international break, PSG will begin their defence of the Champions League title they won in emphatic style last season.
They face Atalanta on September 17 before paying a visit to the Camp Nou at the beginning of October to take on the Champions League semi-finalists.
