Brentford have appointed Keith Andrews to succeed Thomas Frank as manager at Gtech Community Stadium. Frank left Brentford earlier this month to take over at Tottenham Hotspur. It represents a rapid rise for the Irishman, after initially joining the club as set-piece coach in July 2024. Andrews has now taken the head coach role, the first of his career.

Keith Andrews has been hired as the new Brentford boss, following Thomas Frank's departure.
Andrews was the set-piece coach under Frank at Brentford, but has now been appointed to the top job in west London.
Director of football Phil Giles told the club's official website: "Keith is a very good fit. He gets on with everyone, he’s very open and he’s a learner.
"Keith is clear in what he wants, he’s detailed, and the players and staff like and respect him.
"He understands the players in the building and the way we’ve played and trained under Thomas Frank.
"Keith will bring his own evolution but isn’t starting from scratch, so hopefully we can make some quick progress.
"He’s a very good coach and has clear ideas about how he wants the team to improve. We were looking for somebody not just to maintain what we’ve been doing but actually try and get better."
Andrews spoke about the importance of playing "relentless football" and a style of play which would delight the fans.
"I want a team that the fans feel represents them and what they want to see on a Saturday," he explained.
"We want to play winning football, we want to be competitive, we want to have an edge, we want to play dynamic, relentless football, but we want to be organised.
"We want to have huge moments, huge games, and I think the big one is that we want to have an attitude and a relentlessness of progression. We really need to maintain that, and that’s on a daily basis.
"If you do that, the rest looks after itself."

Before joining Brentford as set-piece coach, Andrews was part of Chris Wilder's coaching staff at Sheffield United.
He was also Stephen Kenny's assistant manager in the Republic of Ireland set-up between 2020 and 2023.
Andrews' first coaching role came at MK Dons, where he served as Mark Robinson's assistant in the 2015/16 campaign.
Andrews takes over a squad who have undergone plenty of change already this summer, with goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher arriving from Liverpool to replace the departed Mark Flekken, who joined Bayer Leverkusen.
Christian Norgaard is also expected to complete a transfer to Arsenal, while Bryan Mbeumo may also be heading through the exit door to Manchester United.
