Amad Diallo says Manchester United will 'win a lot' under Ruben Amorim ahead of new season, urges patience from supporters

Amad Diallo has urged Manchester United fans to be patient ahead of the upcoming season. United endured their worst campaign in the Premier League era in 2024/25 with a 15th-placed finish and no silverware. Now manager Ruben Amorim is trying to rebuild ahead of his first full season in charge, and a confident Amad said United will "win a lot" under the Portuguese coach.

Amad Diallo said Manchester United will "win a lot" under head coach Ruben Amorim but encouraged patience from supporters in their quest to do so.
United finished in their lowest position in the Premier League era last season, 15th place, while they were also denied silverware with defeat to Tottenham in the UEFA Europa League final.
Amad believes there will be improvement going into the 2025/26 season - Amorim's first full campaign at Old Trafford - and feels the players need some time under the former Sporting CP coach.
"I think they have to be patient with us," Amad said. "There’s a new manager, with new players and new tactics.
"We know last season wasn’t really good for the team, but I think this season we will win a lot with him and I hope this season we are going to achieve a lot of good things by the end of the season.
"A good season will be top five. I hope we can achieve that top five at the end of the season because I think they deserve."

Amad, 23, played the first half as United drew 0-0 with Leeds in a friendly in Sweden on Saturday. The match provided a first glimpse of Matheus Cunha in a United shirt, after sealing a £62.5 million summer move from Wolverhampton Wanderers in June.
Asked about Cunha, Amad said: "He’s a good player. We need good players in the team, and he’ll bring a lot to the team. I hope he can give us some different things.
"Especially last season, we missed a lot of good players in the final third. He (Cunha) scored a lot of goals last season, so I just wish him all the best."
As for Marcus Rashford, a move to Barcelona looks increasingly likely for the out of favour United star, with reports suggesting the England international may soon move on loan to the La Liga club.
"The only thing I can say is good luck to him, but I’m more focused on United and my team," Amad said.
United will begin their 2025/26 Premier League campaign at home to Arsenal on August 17.
