Trent Alexander-Arnold has dropped something of a bombshell on Liverpool after confirming that he will be leaving the Anfield club at the end of his contract this summer.
The right-back will close a chapter on a stellar spell at his boyhood club, which has seen him progress through the youth academy, establish his place in the first team, and become one of the best players in his position in the world.
Alexander-Arnold has arguably revolutionised his role at full-back by becoming as much of an attacking threat despite his nominal defensive position, helping the club achieve great success over the years, including a second Premier League title this season.
The 26-year-old has also lifted the FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup.
Alexander-Arnold made his debut in 2016 and has since gone on to make 352 appearances for The Reds with only Mohamed Salah (398) playing more matches for the club in that time.
In that period, he has scored 23 times and registered 86 assists across all competitions, leaving him 10th on the list of Liverpool goalscorers since then and only behind Salah (110) in terms of assists.
His total goal contributions of 109 is only bettered by Salah (354), Roberto Firmino (156) and Sadio Mane (149) since his debut.
