TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD BACK WITH A BANG WITH LIVERPOOL ON VERGE OF THE TITLE
Trent Alexander-Arnold came off the bench to net a crucial goal as Liverpool moved to within one win of guaranteeing a record-equalling 20th top-flight title with a 1-0 victory at King Power Stadium that relegated Leicester City.
The Reds defender, who is rumoured to be on the verge of a move to Real Madrid this summer, ripped off his shirt and raced to the away end to celebrate after the first left-foot strike of his career secured a priceless win 14 minutes from time.
Mohamed Salah hit both posts and missed a number of good opportunities in an even first half which also saw Wilfred Ndidi fire against the woodwork for the hosts.
Liverpool continued to waste opportunities following the interval and it was left to Alexander-Arnold, featuring in his first match since sustaining an ankle injury against Paris Saint-Germain on March 11, to silence his critics in the best possible way.
The result sees Arne Slot’s men remain 13 points clear of second-placed Arsenal with just five matches to play.
Leicester sit 19th and this result, along with a win for Wolves and a West Ham draw, means The Foxes are now mathematically relegated back to The Championship.
Liverpool can now seal the Premier League title with a win over Tottenham next Sunday. Leicester travel to Wolves on Saturday.

TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD ON THE TITLE AND HIS FUTURE
Asked by Sky Sports if that is one of the biggest goals of his Liverpool career, TAA said: "For sure, I’ve had some good moments in this stadium, scored a few goals here. But I think being so close to winning the title and my first game back from injury as well. I was excited to be back, I’ve put in a lot of hard work over the past few weeks to get back fit.
"I’m eager to play and happy to contribute with a goal because it was a big one."
He added: "(I’m) pretty sure that’s my first left foot goal of my career as well. Took me a few years but got there in the end."
Asked about his contract and if he will stay at Liverpool or go to Real Madrid, he said: "Look, I’m not going to speak on my situation or go into details. These days like today are always special, scoring goals winning games and being close to titles, being in title races.  They are special moments that will live with me forever and I’m glad to be a part of them."

JAMIE CARRAGHER ON LIVERPOOL FINDING A WAY AND ALEXANDER-ARNOLD'S CELEBRATIONS
"In a lot of ways really (it summed up much of Liverpool's charge to the cusp of the title)," Carragher told Sky Sports.
"A lot of people would look at the game and say, did Liverpool play that well, it wasn’t scintillating. If you look at the chances they had and they do that game after game; they create so many chances and score two goals in a game more often than not. This is one of the few times they haven’t, but in some ways you look at it and think there are a lot of ways to improve for Liverpool..."
On TAA's celebration: "I think you can look at it both ways. I don’t know if it was that real joy of getting such a vital goal or if there was a little bit of anger in there because of all of the criticism that he’s taken because of the contract situation.
"He looks very happy and rightly so and everyone in that (away) stand as well, with all the Liverpool supporters (at home) watching from afar."

LEICESTER CITY RELEGATED AS LIVERPOOL MOVE ONE WIN AWAY FROM THE TITLE
The Foxes produced one of their most resilient performances of the season, but in the end their lack of goal threat cost them.
Relegation was officially confirmed with five games to go along with the ignominy of being the first team in top-flight history to lose nine home league matches on the spin without scoring.
As for Liverpool, they again move 13 points clear of Arsenal after making hard work of it.
In the end, it was down to homegrown star TAA to come off the bench and brush aside the headlines about a rumoured nailed-on move to Real Madrid and instead write some match-winning ones that nudge The Merseysiders to within one victory of the title.
