 EVERTON KEEP UNBEATEN RUN ALIVE
Everton moved 15 points clear of the Premier League relegation places after Jake O'Brien’s diving header gave them a 1-1 draw at Brentford.
Despite seeing less of the ball in the first half David Moyes’ side were more potent and Beto was twice denied when through on goal by goalkeeper Mark Flekken.
Brentford capitalised on the stroke of half-time after Everton failed to clear a long throw-in into their box and Bryan Mbeumo headed against the bar, before Yoane Wissa scored the rebound.
Wissa saw a second goal chalked off on the 69th minute for an off-side decision, which sparked Everton into life.
Just eight minutes later Moyes’ side were level with Vitali Mykolenko finding the run of O’Brien for the equaliser.
Beto had the chance to win the game for Everton in the closing stages, but was again denied by goalkeeper Flekken when through on goal.
Everton are now 15 points clear of the relegation zone, while Brentford are six points outside the top six.

 WISSER REACTS TO DRAW
Brentford forward Yoane Wissa has reacted to his side earning a point against Everton after scoring the opening goal in the 1-1 draw.
He said: "It was disappointing after going ahead 1-0.
"I think we should give big credit to (Mark) Flekken today because he has got three, one-on-ones with Betto and he saved it.
"We could have lost it today or won, but the most important thing is that we didn’t lose it today.
"If we want to reach the top 10 then we need to control more of the game."

O’BRIEN REACTS TO EQUALISER
Defender Jake O'Brien saw his diving header crash into the Brentford net to earn a share of the points.
When asked how hard it was to get back into the match, he told TNT Sports: "It was very hard.
"We knew it was going be a top game from the start, but we've had some two games in the last few weeks.
"We’ve not had many players to come on because we’ve had a lot of injuries. But we’ve come away with a point."
When asked about settling into English football after signing from Lyon. He added: "It’s not easy. I’m playing a new role, but as long as I’m playing then I’m happy."
First goal for Everton?: "I’m a defender. As long as we come away with a point, something then I’m happy."

EVERTON REMAIN UNBEATEN UNDER MOYES
David Moyes’ unbeaten Premier League return at Everton has continued as they pick up a valuable point at Brentford.
The tension has lifted at Goodison Park and they can enjoy the remainder of the season.
Brentford failed to capitalise on their first-half possession as a top-six finish becomes more unlikely.
