WISSA EARNS BRENTFORD DRAW AS ARSENAL'S TITLE HOPES FADE AHEAD OF REAL MADRID CLASH
Yoane Wissa lashed home a fine equaliser as Brentford claimed a 1-1 draw to deal another blow to Arsenal’s slim title hopes at Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta made five changes to the side that started the magnificent UEFA Champions League win over Real Madrid and it showed as the visitors stood firm with an organised first-half display.
Kristoffer Ajer forced a smart save out of David Raya following a slick counter-attack while The Gunners saw a header from Kieran Tierney ruled out for offside.
The hosts continued to probe and broke the deadlock past the hour when a lightning break saw Declan Rice tee up Thomas Partey to rifle past Mark Flekken.
Brentford responded and Wissa hooked a brilliant finish beyond Raya 14 minutes from time to level matters.
The result means The Gunners are now 10 points behind Liverpool, having played a game more with Arne Slot’s side at home to West Ham on Sunday.
Brentford rise to 11th spot.
Next up, Arsenal visit Real Madrid protecting a 3-0 lead in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final with Real Madrid before heading to Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Sunday.
Brentford are at home to Brighton on Saturday.

PUNDIT REACTION AS THE GUNNERS TURN FOCUS TO REAL MADRID
"If they had lost to Real Madrid, it might have been a different situation," said Jamie Redknapp on Sky Sports. "The fans probably think they've got so much to play for, a great game Wednesday night, almost let them off the hook a little."
Asked if Arsenal's focus is now solely on the Champions League, he added: "Absolutely, it has to be. They aren't going to win the title, we all know that.
"That performance suggested it, the way he (Arteta) rotated players."
