Heung-Min Son admitted he treats every game as if it were his last in the wake of Tottenham’s rampaging 4-1 Premier League victory over West Ham.
The Hammers took the lead through Mohammed Kudus in the 18th minute, only for Dejan Kulusevski to provide Spurs a deserved equaliser 10 minutes before the break.
And after the interval, Ange Postecoglou’s men took the game to another level, netting through Yves Bissouma and a Jean-Clair Todibo own-goal.
Son then rounded off the scoring, tucking in a finish after West Ham failed to clear a loose ball.
After the game, a reflective Son told TNT Sports : “I’m 32, sadly, so for me every single game is one that I want to take really seriously, because every game that passes, I know it’s never going to come back.
“So every single game I want to take seriously and treat it like it’s the last game of my career. Thursday [against AZ Alkmaar] is going to be another game that we are looking forward to. I hope we can make it an entertaining game and get a good result.”

Son also spoke of the “pressure” he feels playing in Postecoglou’s attack.
The attacker said: “Sometimes it looks entertaining but it’s also a lot of pressure as you're expecting the wingers and the strikers to score a lot of goals.

“In the final third you get into positions where, if you make a bad pass or a bad decision you kill an amazing situation.
“It’s a lot of joy but also a lot of pressure, which is the way it should be.”
Tottenham’s second-half display would have helped exorcise demons after Postecoglou’s men squandered a 2-0 lead at Brighton to lose 3-2.
The Spurs boss went on to describe the display at his "worst defeat" since becoming the club’s manager.
