Bournemouth have signed Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan for the rest of the season.
Kepa, who spent last season on loan with Spanish champions Real Madrid, reportedly attracted interest from several clubs before securing the move to Bournemouth.
The 29-year-old extended his contract with Chelsea, which was due to expire in June next year, by a year prior to joining the Cherries on loan.
“I’m feeling well, I’m feeling happy to be here,” Kepa said in his first interview with the club.
“I know Andoni [Iraola] well, so of course that was a big reason for coming here, he spoke very well about everything here. I am so ready to be here and play in front of our fans.
“Last season was a great season for the club, we just want to keep going the same way and keep growing.”
Asked if he thinks the club can lift silverware this season, he added: “Hopefully. It will be a great year if we can do it. We have to focus on each game.”
Kepa adds to Andoni Iraola’s depth between the sticks, with the Spaniard set to provide competition for Bournemouth captain and No. 1 Neto.

Kepa was brought in by Madrid last season as a temporary replacement for first-choice 'keeper Thibaut Courtois, who suffered a long-term injury.
However, he failed to make an impact with the UEFA Champions League winners, losing his place to Andriy Lunin.
Kepa became the world’s most expensive goalkeeper when he moved from Athletic Bilbao to Chelsea in 2018, and has made over 100 appearances with the west London club.

His move comes after Chelsea added an eighth goalkeeper to their ranks in the form of Belgian teenager Mike Penders, who will stay with Genk for the rest of the season before moving to Stamford Bridge.
