FULL TIME: Liverpool 3-1 Bournemouth
And that's all she wrote. An extremely entertaining game that really had a bit of everything ultimately petered out in the end as Liverpool record their first win of the season.
90'+4
Traore goes oh-so-close
Hamed Traore has been by-far the most impactful substitute for Bournemouth and he went so close there, forcing Alisson to save a low shot at full stretch.
Liverpool look comfortable for the win though.

And it's a standing ovation for goalscorers Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah, as they leave the pitch for Darwin Nunex and Konstantinos Tsimikas.

Bournemouth chance goes begging
If this has looked quiet, that's reflective of the game, all the heat has gone out of it. Phillip Billing and new substitute Hamed Traore (on for Marcos Senesi) got in each others' way in the area and Alisson's goal wasn't troubled.

Alexander-Arnold forced off by injury?
Trent Alexander-Arnold was moving gingerly and he's been replaced by Joe Gomez at the earliest opportunity. as Harvey Elliott is also on for Diogo Jota.
Meanwhile Andoni Iraola has reshuffled his team introducing Lloyd Kelly and David Brooks for Joe Rothwell and Anthoine Semenyo.
Elliott makes an immediate impact driving into the box but Dominik Szobolszlai didn't read his deft lay-off.

Liverpool cruising
All the heat has gone out of this game in the last few minutes. Solanke's been pinged as he attempted to spin past Ibrahima Konate, which felt like a soft call from the referee.
But Liverpool are coasting and Bournemouth can't challenge them.

First Bournemouth break
That might be Bournemouth's first attack of the half, as Phillip Billing finds Keiffer Moore in the penalty area.
His header couldn't trouble Alisson, but Trent Alexander-Arnold is hobbling.

GOAL!!! Liverpool 3-1 Bournemouth
Maybe they should play with a man down more often. It's an immediate reaction for Liverpool, Neto could only parry Dominik Szoboszlai's deflected shot and Diogo Jota pounced on the rebound to score.

RED CARD FOR LIVERPOOL!!!
Alexis MacAllister has been sent off the an inocuous-looking challenge on Ryan Christie.
Both were going for the ball but MacAllister got there second, and with his foot hanging high with the studs out his game's ending early.

Superb block from Bournemouth
Marcos Senesi looks determined to keep the defecit at one goal all by himself.
Luis Diaz once again caused problems in the Bournemouth penalty area before offloading the ball to Cody Gakpo, whose shot was only stopped by a telescopic block by Senesi.

Jota misses open goal
Mohamed Salah almost reached a useful ball in behind but Neto got their first with a weak header straight to Diogo Jota.
The Portuguese striker had a gilt-edged chance to make it 3-1 and likely kill the game but his shot went way wide.

Could be worse...
That corner goes nowhere though, Bournemouth can clear.
By this point in last year's fixture the visitors were 6-0 down, so it could be worse...

Half-time: Liverpool 2-1 Bournemouth
Bournemouth will probably be relieved they didn't buckle again after Salah's penalty, they looked desperate for the half-time whistle.
But they're still in this game if they can start the second half like they did the first.
45'+3
Another chance for Liverpool
This time it's Ibrahima Konate with the free header from a corner, as Phillip Billing failed to reach the ball.
Konate's effort went well over but Bournemouth continue to struggle with set pieces.

Great save by Neto!
Liverpool's midfield is dominating right now, this time Alexis MacAllister and Cody Gakpo combine to give Trent Alexander-Arnold a free shot in the area, but Neto got down well to his left.
Virgil van Dijk has a free header from the resulting corner but it flies just wide.

Bournemouth beginning to look ragged
The visitors are starting to struggle here. After looking comfortable for almost the full first third of the game, they've now conceded two goals in eight minues and continue to give the ball away.
Bournemouth need a spell of possession but Dominic Solanke's pass for the run of Phillip Billing doesn't connect.
