Jurgen Klopp admitted he would vote to see VAR scrapped "the way we use it" during his final pre-match press conference as Liverpool manager. The German will say goodbye to Anfield this weekend when the Reds face Wolves. All 20 Premier League clubs will vote on the future of the video assistant referee at their annual general meeting on June 6. Klopp also admitted his side could have won more.

'The most intense week' - Klopp gears up for final match as Liverpool manager

Jurgen Klopp says he would vote for VAR to be scrapped "in the way they do it" his last pre-match press conference as Liverpool manager.
All 20 Premier League clubs will vote on the future of the video assistant referee at their annual general meeting on 6th June, and Klopp believes it should go if it continues to be used in the current way, insisting officials are incapable of using the technology properly.
VAR was introduced in 2019, but it has since come under fire after a string of controversial decisions, leading to Wolves submitting a formal resolution to the Premier League on Wednesday.
Klopp helped Liverpool win their first league title in 30 years that season, but he believes the technology should be dropped if how it is used is not changed.
"I don't think they're [the club] voting against VAR, I think they'll vote about how it gets used because that's definitely not right," he said.
"In the way they do it, I would vote against it, because these people are not able to use it properly.
"I do not think VAR is the problem, but the way we use it is the problem.
"So, you cannot change the people obviously, it's clear. You need them.
"So yes, I would vote for scrapping VAR."
Luis Diaz had a goal disallowed in Liverpool's 2-1 loss to Tottenham last September, but refereeing body PGMO acknowledged that there was a significant human error in the decision-making process.
Klopp will manage Liverpool for the last time when they take on Wolves at Anfield on Sunday.
And the German admitted that saying goodbye was hard after winning a Premier League and Champions League with the Reds.
"It's been the most intense week of my life. We've had great moments already," he said.
"We don't have to pretend it's a normal week because it isn't. I'm a very pragmatic person. This is the last game of the season and after that, it's a holiday.
"Yesterday, the players said goodbye. We had a barbecue here. It's a lot. I have emotional moments of course. I don't know how many shirts I signed! It's all part of the thing.
"Saying goodbye is never nice but saying goodbye without feeling sad or hurt, would have meant the time was not good. The time was great. It will be tough."
The 56-year-old lifted his second League Cup earlier this season despite fielding a youthful side, and Klopp believes that he could have won even more trophies during his time at Liverpool.
"I know we could have won more but I can't change that. We could have won less as well," he added.
"Not being champion by a point is not a great experience but it's an experience. I couldn't have done anything different in these moments.
"When we don't score at Man City when the ball wasn't over the line, and then Sergio Aguero scores at Burnley when it is just over the line. That is not my fault!
"We could have won more Champions Leagues. Being in three finals is an outstanding achievement. There is a good chance you lose the final, that's how it is. Real Madrid, they always find a way to win it. We tried again.
"I would not be happy if I thought I could have done more. I couldn't have done more. Could someone else have done better? Possibly.
"But not me, and I'm fine with it. It'll be judged by the people and most are fine with it."
