When is Manchester City v Newcastle? We give you all the details on how to watch and live stream Man City v Newcastle on TNT Sports as Eddie Howe’s side travel to the home of the champions. The new Premier League season is underway, and the game will be the first Saturday night Premier League match shown live on TNT Sports. Can Howe get one over on Pep Guardiola?

'One of my better goals' - Saka delighted with opening day and relishing UCL challenge

Manchester City face Newcastle United this coming Saturday, 19 August with both clubs facing a tough task to improve on their previous campaigns.
City are the treble holders and they have lost Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez, though they currently look likely to keep hold of Kyle Walker and Bernardo Silva despite speculation.
Pep Guardiola and his club have added Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic so far, with Lucas Paqueta also in their sights, but despite their transfer activity it will be a devilish task to retain each of their trophies, and they lost to Arsenal in last weekend's Community Shield on penalties.
However, City were back to winning ways in midweek with a penalty shoot-out victory over Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup.
Newcastle took fourth place last season under the impressive Eddie Howe, and have added Sandro Tonali, Harvey Barnes and Tino Livramento to their squad. Allan Saint-Maximin, Chris Wood and Karl Darlow have gone in the opposite direction.
The game is one of the highlights of the season-opening weekend, as viewers watch for clues for the upcoming campaign.

Guardiola and Haaland play down argument

Leading 2-0 at half-time in their Premier League opener against Burnley - with both goals coming from Erling Haaland - you perhaps wouldn't have expected Pep Guardiola to pick out his star striker for a talking-to as the players walked off for the interval.
But that is what happened, as Guardiola expanded on afterwards.
"He wants all the time ball to him, ball to him," Guardiola said of Haaland. "He's man-to-man, he scores one-to-one, give me the ball away and I'm going to do it.
"But when you have two or three minutes left and [Mateo] Kovacic goes in behind and loses the ball, and Rodri loses the ball, Erling wanted that ball but Bernardo [Silva] was right not to give it to him.
"It's a connection to do what you have to do, but it's not truly any problem at all, he scored two goals and I'm sure he's happy."
Haaland, for his part, admitted he "loved" it.
"I was a bit mad on Bernardo Silva because he didn't play me the ball, but then he [Guardiola] explained why he didn't," the Norwegian said. "And I agree with him. It's passion. It's good. He's direct and honest. I like that.
"Look at Pep. How many trophies has he been winning the last years? And last year with the treble? And the first game of the season at half-time we're leading 2-0 and he's doing this to me. To be honest, I love it."
