FULL TIME
A vintage first half of football followed by a tired and weary second.
This game was played almost entirely in the final thirds but clear cut chances were still few and far between with both sides struggling in front of goal and both shotstoppers in fine form too.
Bielsa and Bruce remain winless this season.
Leeds with one final attack but Ritchie clears up.
Now here come Newcastle but Phillips is there to cooly clear the danger.
A draw suddenly looks a very fair result but this has been a totally different half to the thrilling first.
Joelinton is replaced by Murphy. Not a brilliant night for the striker who should have scored in the first half.
On
J. Murphy
Off
Joelinton
Leeds play out from the back with too much confidence as Joelinton steals in and wins his side a corner.
Comes to nothing but Ayling is limping now and he´s replaced by Shackleton.

SAVE!
Saint-Maximin bursts to life once more, cutting inside before lashing yet another effort at the diving gloves of Meslier.
Manquillo is replaced by Krafth for Newcastle.
Time to defend.

J. Manquillo
YELLOW
Junior picks up a yellow now for a foul on Willock.

Ayling has been in Mike Dean´s ear for a while now about some injustice or another.
It´s Bamford who is down now, giving everyone a well deserved break. Even Saint-Maximin has faded - he´s done little to nothing for 20 minutes now.
It´s still end to end stuff but the quality of the chances is diminishing. This time Bamford gets his head on a ball into the box but it´s well over.
They all look so tired.
CHANCE!
Bamford has his first clear sight on goal in the game as he´s played through one on one, but his effort on the slide his collected easily by Darlow.
Longstaff´s 25 yard pot shot is miles over. Both sides tiring.
Raphinha is off. Bold choice because he´s by far the best player on the Leeds team.
On comes Summerville.

Off
Raphinha
The sting has been taken out of this one with a few fouls, substitutes and poor decision making.
I was sure there would be more goals but at the moment neither side looks particularly capable.
Roberts almost has an assist with his first touch as he so nearly picks out Raphinha, but his pass is just a little too heavy and skims out of play.
Newcastle make a change to as Almiron heads off for Ryan Fraser.

WHAT A SAVE!
Saint-Maximin should have a second! His first effort is blocked and falls kindly back to the forward whose belting effort is tipped wide by Meslier.
Rodrigo picks up a yellow for a foul inside his own half. A solid job in defensive midfield but that´s not what he´s paid to do.
Yellow card
Rodrigo
Hayden is furious with Mike Dean because the referee gets well in his way as he looks to pick up a loose ball on the edge of the box.
The home fans sing a chorus of boos.
CLOSE!
Daniel James whips a ball into the box and Manquillo almost scores a brilliant own goal as his header looks like looping over Darlow before the ´keeper produces a jumping save.
