Hello and welcome to Eurosport’s digital coverage of the Premier League game between Manchester City and Southampton from the City of Manchester Stadium. It’s a rare thing, but City head into the game on the back of a defeat - a Manchester derby loss to United. They still hold an 11-point lead in the table, but Pep Guardiola will be looking for a response from his side against a Southampton team who snapped a dismal run of form with a win at Sheffield United on Saturday. Kick-off is a 6pm UK time with team news coming right up!

Fernandinho with an excellent tackle on Adams, but referee Jon Moss gives a free kick. The frustration for City continues.

We can confirm Pep has his grey hoodie on, but it's partly covered by a warmish looking black coat.

We're 10 minutes in and City have not yet had a decent spell of possession. Saints look extremely confident and their full backs are pushing on at every opportunity.

Southampton in the ascendancy early. They pass through City once again and it takes a timely tackle from Ilkay Gundogan to avert the danger.

Good play from Saints. They get Armstrong in behind and he forces a corner. Ward-Prowse delivers into the box but City head it clear.

A bright start from Saints with a passing move from the back but there is no end-product. Southampton will not be afraid to play City at their own passing game.

Are City home and hosed in the Premier League? Pep thinks it’s nonsense to make such suggestions (his language was a bit fruitier than that).

City were 1-0 winners of the reverse fixture at St Mary’s in December. Raheem Sterling was the match-winner that day, but if he’s to repeat the trick there’s unlikely to be an early goal as he’s on the bench.
17:15
James Ward-Prowse has six goals to his name in the Premier League so far this season. City will be told not to concede free-kicks anywhere near their box. Maybe that's why Jesus has been left on the bench.
17:10
Guardiola has talked positively about wanting to get Aguero back in the side, but the Argentina superstar remains on the bench and City go without a recognised striker. To be fair, it’s not hindered them much so far this term.
