It looks like Guardiola might be about to bring on Cancelo. The Portuguese international was a big summer signing, but has yet to be introduced to the City first team. He's about to come on.

Another reminder that the record for the biggest win in Premier League history is 9-0. Manchester City are just three goals away from that and have around 40 minutes to match it.

Flores must have hoped that his Watford team would emerge for the second half with some pride to play for, but City have picked up where they left off and this is getting really ugly now.

Walker takes aim! The Man City right back decides to unleash a strike from distance, but he was leaning back and Foster feels comfortable enough to watch the ball flash over the crossbar.

Guardiola made a surprising change at the break with Angelino coming on for Mendy for the second half.

HALF TIME: Manchester City 5-0 Watford. What a first half, or more accurately... what an opening 18 minutes. The Premier League have raced to a 5-0 lead and this could get even uglier for Watford.

City have had chances to make this six or seven before the half time break, but you'd still fancy the Premier League champions to add to the scoreline in the second half. Gulp.

There will be three minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the first half.

So close to six! It's another De Bruyne cross that causes mayhem in the Watford box. Aguero met it at the back post and struck the woodwork with his header. Foster might have got a touch on it as well.

Silva goes dancing! The little Spaniard jinks his way through the Watford midfield and then clips a pass over the top for Aguero. The chance disappears, but City have managed to keep the ball.

This is a damage limitation mission for Watford now. Their shape has improved since the introduction of Pereyra off the bench, but they are offering next to nothing when in possession.

De Bruyne has been remarkable in this first half for Manchester City. He has to be the best passer and crosser of a ball in the Premier League right now. The Belgian is in exceptional form.
