Tottenham look dangerous on the break suddenly. A couple of promising situations break down when they fail to locate the right pass.

A slight lull now after the quick hit of goals. Tottenham have settled into possession and it feels a much more even game.

Tottenham are knocking it around confidently now. Both goals seem to have really woken them up, especially their own.

Sterling goes in the book after cynically tripping Winks when he threatens to break away down the right.

Where did that come from? Spurs respond instantly, with Ndombele finding Lamela in space just outside the penalty area. City have switched off completely, and Lamela strokes a low shot past Ederson to level it up!

What a superb header from Raheem Sterling! Bernardo Silva lays the ball back to De Bruyne on the right. His whipped, first-time cross to the back post is perfect, and Sterling arrives to thunder a header back across Lloris and into the corner.

Better again from Tottenham, with Walker-Peters running the ball fifty yards deep into City's half. Unfortunately for Spurs, Sissoko strays offside and it's pulled back.

Kane leads a quick break for Tottenham, their best move of the match so far. He shifts it right to Sissoko, but Lamela can't make a decent connection with the cross and City clear.

Sterling cuts his way to the Spurs byline on the left, but his cutback ricochets away off Aguero for a goal kick.

The replay shows Lamela might have got away with one there; he was effectively hugging Rodri as they fell, and not even looking at the ball.

City are making hay down the left at the moment, and win a couple of quick corners in succession. The latter produces a penalty appeal as Rodri goes down under a challenge from Lamela, but it's waved away.

Tottenham have a much needed bout of possession, but a long ball over the top is too far ahead of Kane.

Half a chance for City. Kyle Walker gets away down the right, and into the Spurs area; he cuts it back to Sterling, whose shot is blocked and deflects out for a corner.

Zinchenko fires a long ball over the top to Sterling, but he's offside.

Tottenham are penned back already here, with City working it across all areas of the pitch but with no real penetration yet. Early sparring.

City's rhythmic early possession is broken up when Gundogan clips Walker-Peters and gives away a free-kick. There's a crackling atmosphere here, and the match has started at a lively old pace.
