Chance! Oh what a beautiful pass from Jorginho. His first-time lobbed ball picks out Mount, who is through one-on-one with the goalkeeper but Ramsdale dives at his feet to make a brave save.

Another dangerous attack from Bournemouth, as Fraser stands up an inviting cross into the box but Zouma rises highest to clear. The visitors don't have the look of a side that has lost their last five.

Willian, who has been excellent this season, drives down the right flank and his cross is deflected awkwardly for Ramsdale but the Bournemouth keeper is able to smother it.

Shot! But the visitors have started really well. Lewis Cook swings in a dangerous cross, it's picked up by Fraser on the left, cuts inside and shoots from a tight angle. It's not entirely convincing goalkeeping from Kepa who can only parry it.

Bournemouth have become known for their free-scoring ability but this season has been different: they have netted only eight times from open play, the lowest in the Premier League.

Chelsea have been inconsistent this season but under a transfer ban and having introduced a number of young players to the first team, Lampard deserves huge credit for the job he is carrying out.

Head-to-head: Bournemouth's 4-0 win at home last season was just a second in nine games against Chelsea in all competitions, winning two and losing seven.

Win today and Chelsea will go level on points with third-placed Manchester City. Bournemouth, on the other hand, are a point above the drop zone and have lost five on the bounce, winning just one of their last 10 games.

Chelsea are currently in the Champions League spots but three losses from their last four league games has allowed the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham to close the gap somewhat. The Blues were given a huge boost this week with the news they can sign players in January and reinforcements in defence is a must if Lampard is to deliver a top four place this season.

Liverpool move ELEVEN points clear of second placed Leicester.

Eddie Howe makes FOUR changes to his injury ravaged Bournemouth side. Lewis Cook, Jack Stacey, Dan Goslin and Josh King come in for Nathan Ake and Callum Wilson, both injured, while Arnaut Groeneveld and Dominic Solanke drop out.

Frank Lampard makes THREE changes to the side that lost at Everton. They have been defensively vulnerable this season so the return of Antonio Rudiger is a huge boost. Emerson and Jorginho are also back in the team. It's just one change from the side that overcame Lille, with Mason Mount coming into the side for Mateo Kovacic.
