Hello all. It's time for the M23 derby! No one quite knows why these two are arch rivals, but it's a derby all the same: Brighton vs Crystal Palace is coming right up...

A petty incident as Zaha spits in the direction of Brighton substitute Schelotto. Zaha then holds his hands to his ears in front of the Brighton fans, and Schelotto kicks the ball in Zaha's direction. Schelotto gets a yellow. Zaha, however, escapes without a card when he should have seen yellow as well.

Brighton growing into this, but Palace happy to sit quite deep and soak it up. A point on the road wouldn't be the worst result for Roy Hodgson's side.

Another Brighton corner causes problems for Palace. This time Dunk gets his head on Mooy's inswinger, but Van Aanholt nods it off the line.

Brighton just starting to build up some confidence though.

Brighton win a corner and Dunk almost forces it over the line from close range, but Guaita helps scramble it clear.

Clever strike by Maupay, who guides the ball through a couple of Palace defenders and towards the near post, but Guaita gets down well.

Brighton win their first corner after Ward is forced to nod a cross out. But the corner isn't great from March and Benteke heads clear.

Palace by far the more composed and slicker of the two sides out there. Brighton struggling to get into it.

Maupay leads a promising counter-attack and spreads it to March, but March faffs about with it and eventually fouls Kouyate.

Brighton with 67% possession so far, but it's Palace who are posing the greater goalscoring threat at the moment.

Benteke knocks it down for Kouyate, who just runs out of space in front of goal as Matt Ryan smothers him well.

Benteke lays the ball off to Zaha, who drives forward but is quickly crowded out by a bunch of Brighton defenders before Dunk gets it clear.

Brighton looking hesitant early on here. Playing like a side that know defeat could spell trouble for them.

PALACE CHANCE! Oh what an opportunity for Benteke! McArthur picks him out with a fine ball, Benteke times his run to perfection, but then completely miskicks his volley. Massive missed opportunity in the early stages for Palace.

Hodgson on the Brighton-Palace rivalry: "It means more to the older fans - but these things get passed down. To be fair it's not a vast distance between us so it's no surprise that the fans have taken Brighton as the team to hate."

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson keeps faith with the starting XI that started the 1-0 win over Newcastle in their last Premier League game.

"We need to play a little bit better than we did at Sheffield United. The onus is on us as the home team. Shane Duffy has had a family funeral so he is missing today.

"It’s purely tactical [dropping Glenn Murray] and it’s nice to have Glenn to come off the bench and help us late in the game. We need to be positive, brave and work hard."
