Klopp on Arteta: "Mikel is part of very exciting new manager generation. Really exciting to watch. You can see the ideas, influenced by Pep. Mikel would have had the same ideas when he was a player. Arsenal are a really exciting squad."

Mikel Arteta: "What they (Liverpool) have done is phenomenal. Obviously, it took them some time to rebuild the squad and create a new culture, a new philosophy and a game model that suited the coach. They started to recruit every single player in relation to what they needed and where they were really smart is they bought a specificity for every position ... The context right now is different to what it was four years ago and the abilities for a club to rebuild something are more limited, but certainly it's something we have to look at, how they did it, because it's a great example." 

So, the big news is that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on the bench for the hosts. Arsenal make five changes from the defeat to Spurs. Torreira, Holding, Soares, Nelson and Saka are in. Liverpool make just two changes and draft in Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain.
