FULL-TIME
The Solskjaer effect continues, as Manchester United win their fourth consecutive game, keeping only their third clean-sheet in the process.
Both goals came in the second-half, with Romelu Lukaku scoring only 38 seconds after coming on as a substitute and the hugely-impressive Marcus Rashford securing the points with his seventh goal of the season.
POGBA SHOULD SCORE! The Frenchman rounds the on-rushing Dubravka and opts to shoot from a tight angle, but can only find the side-netting.
Manchester United will remain in sixth, as it stands, but will reduce the gap between Arsenal in fifth place to three points. Newcastle will stay 15th - two points above the drop zone.
There will be SIX minutes of added time.
OVER! Shelvey heads over from Ritchie's cross and now Yedlin needs treatment after landing awkwardly.
MAN UTD SUB: Third and final change sees Rashford replaced by Jesse Lingard, who has three minutes to impress.

WIDE! Ritchie can't steer his shot on target with the outside of his boot.
Rashford continues to impress under Solskjaer. He has been really impressive in recent games. His pace, movement and finishing will cause problems for any team. And now he is playing with a real swagger under his new manager who is bringing the best out of him.
NEWCASTLE SUB: The hosts respond with a change in personnel, Yoshinori Muto replacing Schar.

GOAL! Newcastle 0-2 Manchester United
Rashford puts the finishing touches to a devastating counter-attack, and that should be game, set and match. Lukaku feeds it to Sanchez who in turn finds the unmarked Rashford and he slots it past Dubravka.

Newcastle probing in search of an equaliser. No one could really argue that Benitez's side don't deserve a point here.
NOT FAR AWAY! Shelvey's free-kick is cleared as far as Atsu on the edge of the box and his vicious effort is sent only inches wide of De Gea's post.
YELLOW CARD! Shaw goes into the book for a cynical foul on Yedlin, as Newcastle looked to counter.

Shelvey brings down Pogba, committing a foul. The Frenchman hasn't reacted well to the tackle and there is a bit of afters between the two.
CHANCE! Shelvey's cross causes a problem in the United defence, it bounces for Rondon but De Gea is off his line quickly to smother the ball.
Benitez's side have lost all nine of the games in which they have gone behind this season. As it stands, they are heading towards their eighth defeat at home this season.
Newcastle have defended so admirably this evening, restricting United to only half-chances but now they are behind do they have a Plan B? The travelling supporters are in fine voice and showing support to their interim manager with chants of 'You are my Solskjaer'.
Solskjaer was known as the 'super-sub' during his playing days at Manchester United, but he's not half-bad at making substitutions as a manager it seems.
