CHANCE!
Mitrovic heads a goal kick into Sessegnon's path and he is through on goal! However, Sessegnon's shot is blasted wide. That should have been 1-0 to the visitors.

With a quarter of the game gone, Fulham are in it with a clean sheet. They are giving away plenty of space to Shaqiri and Alexander-Arnold, but all things considered, this is not a bad start from the Londoners.

Oh. Instead of the corner, play restarts with a free kick to Fulham.

Liverpool win their first corner as Sergio Rico deflects a fierce Salah shot from the right!

CHANCE!
After some patient build-up play, Fabinho lifts the ball into the area, where Alexander-Arnold heads just over the bar!
Sessegnon might have done better to track the run, but that was another nicely worked move.

CHANCE!
Firmino and Salah pull off a wonderful interchange which puts the latter clear through on goal, but the ball is smothered by Sergio Rico. That would have been a beautifully worked goal!

Shaqiri picks up the ball 25 yards out and unleashes a shot. It flies wide and the Alpine Messi wants a corner, but it isn't given.

Klopp's concerns about lunchtime kick-offs appear to be valid: it's very quiet at Anfield so far.
10'
Schurrle delivers a corner which is swatted away by the first man Robertson. A poor quality set piece.

Alexander-Arnold has a lot of space to operate on the right flank. He tries to latch on to a ball from Shaqiri but is frustrated when it runs too long.

Shaqiri picks out Alexander-Arnold's run into the box but the England youngster puts his cross over the bar.

CHANCE!
Alexander-Arnold pumps the ball in from the right. Firmino lays it off to Mane, who drags his shot wide!
3'
Fulham have started brightly, with Schurrle and Mitorvic combinging well on the left flank. The visitors appear to be line dup in a 4-2-3-1, much like the hosts.

IT BEGINS!
After an impeccably respected silence, referee Paul Tierney blows his whistle and Mitrovic takes the first touch.

The players are taking to the pitch at Anfield, where it is currently 10C with plenty of sunshine.
Kick-off is moments away!

Fulham have taken just one point from their last 18 league games against the Big Six. They are just one of three English league teams who have yet to keep a clean sheet this season (along with Macclesfield and Sheffield Wednesday).
11.45
Fulham have yet to play the same defensive line in consecutive games this season. They have conceded 29 goals so far - no Premier League team has ever conceded more after 11 games.
“We are bottom of the table and we need some kind of reaction," says Jokanovic. "I won’t tell you our formation but we want to be more solid while still playing our football."

Regardless of Klopp's attitude to early start times, he has led Liverpool to victory in all eight league home games against promoted sides he has faced. The Reds will be looking to extend their unbeaten home streak to 27 league games today.

Jurgen Klopp is not a big fan of lunchtime games: "I would be lying if I said 12 midday is my favourite time to kick-off in a competitive football match. I would be more truthful if I said I didn’t like it at all. But it is what it is, and all of us must now make the best of it.”
