Theo Walcott sends condolences to grieving Arsenal fans after death of their baby

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott sent a letter of condolence to an Arsenal fan and his wife after the death of their baby.

In a letter to Emma and Edward Herdman, Arsenal fans who live in Texas, USA, Walcott wrote:

"It was with great sadness that we learned recently of the passing of your baby son Theo.

"On behalf of us all at Arsenal Football Club, we extend to you our very sincere condolences."

Later in the letter, Walcott described his feelings over the fact that the baby had been named after him:

"I feel very honoured to learn that I had an influence in you naming your son Theo. This is very touching for me.
