The Citizens failed with a bid for the Foxes' Riyad Mahrez on deadline-day, prompting the playmaker to go AWOL. He's back today - and he's on the bench for the visitors. Kick off 17.30 GMT.

Sergio Aguero is aiming to net in seven home games on the bounce for the first time. The Argentine has plundered 10 goals in his last six outings at the Etihad in all comps.

Head-to-head: In the recent past, Leicester have enjoyed their trips to the blue half of Manchester. The Foxes have won on four of their last six visits.

The team sheet shows two changes apiece. Man City bring Aymeric Laporte and Alexander Zinchenko into the side that drew 1-1 at Burnley last time out. Meanwhile, Leicester call on Matty James and Ben Chilwell as Kelechi Iheanacho drops to the bench against his former club.  

Will Claude Puel get his reward for keeping things steady amidst the drama of Mahrez's absence? He said: "The most important thing for me is to keep Riyad [Mahrez] and the club and the fans united. It is important to keep a good feeling together through these difficulties."

A bit more from the Man City boss, this time on the Foxes: "Leicester still have the basic fundamentals they had that helped them to be champions but (Claude Puel) has introduced a bit of something else. They play more, they play between channels and have more passes."

Careful what you wish for, Pep.... Guardiola on Mahrez: "I wish he comes back soon to play football because we enjoy watching him play. Hopefully as soon as possible he comes back with Leicester and plays at his level."
