Kaikai's powerful effort is parried over by Mignolet, but it matters little as Dann committed a foul in the build-up. Palace's frustrations continue, and time is running out.
Hennessey is off his line quickly to challenge Mane who was through! The loose ball falls to Firmino but the Palace goalkeeper is back in goal to make a comfortable save.

Half-chance for Salah as the substitute meets Gomez's cross, but he can only head straight at Hennessey.
Into the final 10 minutes and Palace are still searching for an equaliser and their first goal of the season.
A sense of nervousness around Anfield as Palace win their first corner of the match. However, they shouldn't worry as Mignolet is on hand to smother McArthur's delivery.

The goal stemmed from Milivojevic's mistake. He was wrestled off the ball by Solanke and the ball fell fortuitously to Mane who keeps his cool to slide it home.

Finally, the Reds have the breakthrough - Sadio Mane is the man on the score-sheet for Jurgen Klopp's side. It's a scrappy goal, but Liverpool won't care one bit. They needed that and the relief around Anfield is tangible.

Mane is picked up inside the Palace box, but is unable to get through a wall of Palace defenders. Wijnaldum also sees his shot blocked and then Mane's second effort is straight at Hennessey.
