That's full time. An important victory for Watford, who were five Premier League games without a win, but finally they got the luck of playing Newcastle. The away side were again awful, and it's hard to believe they played with eleven players on the pitch throughout.

Britos heads away a Shelvey corner, and Paredes sends it out for a throw on the left. Gapoue runs the ball 70 yards, shrugging off Gouffran. He cuts in from the left, looks at his teammates running into the box for support, and he blasts over from a tight angle.

Deeney has room for a shot from the edge of the box, and he blasts well over.

Janmaat does well to send in a cross when Abdi loses the ball, but it drifts behind for a goal kick.

Perez wins a corner on the left. Shelvey hits it to the back post, and Gomes punches it clear.

Both sides have subs to make to change the game, but no sign of it yet.

Deeney heads for Ighalo to chase, he turns Lascelles in the box, and he drives a shot straight at Elloit. Corner for Watford.

Watford seem set on keeping the ball as much as they can high up the pitch. That lets Newcastle break when they win the ball, and Perez fires over from a through ball.

Gouffran makes room for a corner, but it's headed away to Shelvey, who plays it back.

GOAL! Watford 1-2 Newcastle United. Lascelles scores - Shelvey's corner is met by a great leap from Lascelles, and he thunders a header down into the bottom corner.

Britos is booked for a foul on Mitrovic on the halfway line. He pulled him back to stop a break.

Ighalo has a free header, but it comes off his shoulder and goes back from where it came.

There's not a great deal to say about Newcastle. Nothing good, anyway.

Capoue almost picks up the ball from Deeney, but his heavy touch sends it clear.

An early cross from the right by Sissoko, and Perez heads the ball from the top of his noggin, well over.
