Martial clears to Rooney on the halfway line, and they head straight back to De Gea. Yep.

Routledge finds Ayew on the left. He curls in a cross that Smalling dives to head away.

Young knocks the ball around Taylor on the wing, and wins a free kick when Taylor blocks off the run.

Routledge is manhandled in the box by Smalling, but the ref doesn't give anything. The ball is cleared upfield, and Herrera is penalised for tripping Ki.

Williams heads out a cross to Young. He puts it back in, the ball drifts to Rooney at the back post. He shifts the ball inside, aims for the near post, and strikes just wide, against the side netting.

Rooney strikes it straight at the wall.

Rooney drives down the inside left between Fernandez and Britton, and Fernandez trips him. It's a free kick, 25 yards out, on the left of the box. Rooney and Mata stand over it.

Some real clogging football ends with the ball being kicked at Schweinsteiger's shins and out of play.

De Gea has to hoof the ball clear again, and Rooney is penalised for a handball on the halfway line.

United are in their own half, briefly, as the ball is played back to De Gea. Smalling hits a diagonal ball for Martial on the left, and it's off target.

Blind's corner is swung in to the near post, and it's headed away. A poor effort.

Rooney snaps the ball off Britton. He lays it off quickly to Young down the right, but Taylor is across to block the cross, conceding a corner.

Martial gets forward on the left wing, flicks in a pass with the outside of the boot, but it's booted away. United have it back in defence. Schweinsteiger is then clattered by a late challenge from Cork on the left wing.

Sigurdsson whips in a cross from the right, and it passes everyone by, drifting out for a goal kick.

Herrera bundles over Ki on the left wing, giving Swansea a chance from a set piece.

United back to their old ways now. Slow and ponderous.

Martial skips in to the box, rides a tackle with a lucky break, and his shot is deflected away from goal, allowing the 'keeper to claim.

Ander Herrera receives the ball on the right wing, but he's tackled, and Swansea win a throw on the wing.

United keep the ball for the opening stages, but Swansea - apart from that early chance - have kept things tight.

Van Gaal is looking for his first win over Swansea. Herrera runs into space into the box, but his shot is blocked and flicked away.

I'm predicting a 2-0 win for United, but as this is Van Gaal it could turn to a 6-2 victory for Swansea quite quickly.
