Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of Chelsea against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge. We’ll be bringing you build-up over the next 45 minutes, followed by full text commentary.

The final whistle goes to seal a comfortable 2-0 win for Chelsea. It wasn't exactly champagne football, but Mourinho will happily take all of the points that he can get at the moment. For Aston Villa, this timid performance won't help under-fire Tim Sherwood.

Willian is given a standing ovation as the playmaker is replaced by Remy for the final few minutes.

There will be four minutes added on at the end of the game.

Fabregas drifts a lovely lofted pass in towards Costa, but Guzan stretches out a hand and beats the striker to it.

Costa and Hazard go down in quick succession, but neither are given a free-kick. Costa is up to his old tricks again, with sly little digs, but it's nothing like as bad as the Arsenal incident.

Grealish slides late into a challenge on Azpilicueta and picks up a booking. That was rash from the Villa youngster, who has faded badly as the game has gone on.

Chelsea deal with the delivery comfortably and then break in numbers, but there's a mix-up in attack and Fabregas shuffles the ball all the way through to Guzan.

Traore wins his side a corner and the centre-backs area heading forward to support Gestede at the set-piece.

On comes Eden Hazard, replacing Pedro in the Chelsea front four.

Costa falls theatrically to the deck and claims for a penalty, but that was laughable from the striker.

Fabregas slams a shot across the face of goal after terrific work from Willian down the right. The Brazilian has more than justified the faith that Mourinho showed in him today, but the overall Chelsea attacking display hasn't been enough to suggest that Eden Hazard is going to be stuck on the bench for long.

Richards is almost caught on his heels, but manages to get a toe to the ball in the nick of time to prevent Pedro having a one-on-one with the keeper. It is extremely concerning how many times the Villa centre-backs have been forced to make last-ditch challenges to save their side.

Willian is the latest player to go into the referee's book. The game is getting a little scrappy, with Chelsea unable to dominate like they did in the first 45 but Villa not possessing the quality in midfield to take advantage.

It's hardly surprising that Villa have looked more dangerous since the changes were made. They have one of the league's best target men in attack, but their best crossers of the ball were all sat on the bench. Work that one out.

Gestede somehow manages to get his head to a looped ball into the area, but he can't quite generate the combination of power and direction needed to trouble the keeper.

Villa have finally woken up, inspired no doubt by the two substitutes - who probably should both have started.

Willian very nearly assists Costa again with a lovely slipped pass into the area, but Richards does just enough to put the striker off and allow Guzan to make an easy save.

Sherwood makes his second roll of the dice, replacing Ayew with Adama Traore.
