Having already signed Juan Iturbe on loan and Afobe from Wolves for a fee in the region of £10m, Bournemouth have already been the busiest Premier League side in the January transfer window so far – as they look to make the reinforcements required to ensure their Premier League survival.
They have certainly not been afraid to open up the chequebook and manager Eddie Howe has now returned for former player Grabban, as his January outlay nears the £20m mark.
After failing in a late approach in the summer, the Cherries reportedly had a new bid for the former Crystal Palace, Millwall and Brentford striker turned down last week – only for Norwich boss Alex Neil to change his mind about a player who has struggled for regular appearances this season.
The sale would represent a significant profit for the East Anglia club, who are believed to have paid in the region of £2.5m when they signed the 27-year-old from Bournemouth in 2014.

It is expected Norwich will now look to complete a move for Everton forward Steven Naismith, after showing interest in the Scotland international at the end of the summer transfer window.
Grabban, who scored 12 goals in the Canaries’ promotion push last season, has started just three league games this season – scoring one goal.
In two seasons in his first spell at Bournemouth he managed 35 league goals, having originally arrived from Rotherham for £300,000.
"It sounds silly for a striker, but he is more than just a goalscorer for us," Howe said during that first spell. "He brings other people into play by the fact that he stretches the line so well.
"I am not too bothered about statistics and what everyone will say. He is an integral part of the team."
