Marriner blows his whistle to bring a chastening afternoon for Sunderland to an end. Southampton were rampant, Sunderland woeful at the back, and the scoreline means there can be no real complaints from the Black Cats over Fletcher's appeal for a penalty in the first half. Comprehensively beaten.
Wickham gifts Southampton possession in a dangerous position but Mannone beats away Mane's shot.
Lovely turn from Ryan Bertrand on the edge of the area, who lays it off to Schneiderlin but his shot flies over.
GOAL! MANE IN THE RIGHT PLACE TO MAKE IT EIGHT!! Substitute Mane holds his run perfectly to get on the end of Tadic's pull-back.
Southampton are still pushing for an eighth. This has been a complete capitulation from Sunderland.
Bridcutt booked for foul on Mane.
Pelle given a deserved standing ovation as he departs, to be replaced by Emmanuel Mayuka.
GOAL! WANYAMA GRABS A SEVENTH!! More brilliant work from Southampton, and especially Tadic, who picks out the substitute to sweep home.
GOAL! TADIC GETS HIS FIRST PREMIER LEAGUE GOAL! Mannone at fault again, as he side-foots John O'Shea's back-pass to Tadic who fires home from 25 yards.
Not surprisingly the games has gone a bit flat. Saints pushing for a sixth though, and Pelle fires over again.
Clyne bursts onto a loose ball and his mis-hit shot find Pelle, who diverts the ball over the bar.
GOAL! PELLE DEFINITELY MAKES IT FIVE!! All too easy again as tadic finds the Italian, who rolls Vergini and finds the far bottom corner from an acute angle.
Sunderland have not turned up defensively today, while Mannone is probably at fault for the third and fourth goals. Black Cats have looked panicky all afternoon.
GOAL! PELLE GETS SOUTHAMPTON'S FOURTH OR DOES HE? It's 4-0 Saints, but this is one for the dubious goals panel as Pelle's shot squirms under Mannone and goes in off Bridcutt.
The chances make little difference, as Davis finds Long in the area who squares for Pelle but van Aanholt clears off the line.
Jack Rodwell and Adam Johnson are on, Gomez and Larsoon off.
