That's full time. A deserved win for Southampton who worked hard for their two goals, even if the first was a soft penalty from a daft Alex Bruce tackle. Hull worked hard throughout, but lack quality in every part of the pitch, despite extensive summer investment.

Tadic keeps hold of the ball with a little showboating, and is fouled for his trouble. Free kick for Southampton, 25 yards out.

The game has pretty much ended. Hull don't have a chance of scoring, and it doesn't appear that they've much chance of even getting the ball at the moment.

GOAL! Southampton 2-0 Hull. Tadic scores - Schneiderlin works his way into the box after Tadic slides him in. He touches the ball inside for Pelle, who finishes low into the net.
80'
Fonte really clatters N'Doye. It's a well time challenge, but he's clearly suffering from the force of the tackle.

Southampton have demonstrated why they have such a low amount of goals conceded. They've tightened up since taking the lead, considerably. It's making for a dull match, but a win will see them leapfrog Liverpoo.

Sagbo is on for Huddlestone. Long is off for Elia.
73'
McShane's header loops limply wide of goal from a Tom Huddlestone corner.

City aren't out of the match, but Hull have such a dreadful away record, with 2 wins in their last 21 away Premier League games.
69'
Here's how Hull's social media team saw that chance, and you might wonder quite how little is happening for me to be repeating past events. This is not, I stress, an experiment about the subjective nature of experience.
67'
McShane lifts in a cross for N'Doye. He can't get free of Fonte and Yoshida, and he can't connect with the ball.
66'
Some exciting things elsewhere, if not at St Mary's.
