That's full time. A deserved win for Southampton who worked hard for their two goals, even if the first was a soft penalty from a daft Alex Bruce tackle. Hull worked hard throughout, but lack quality in every part of the pitch, despite extensive summer investment.

Southampton have demonstrated why they have such a low amount of goals conceded. They've tightened up since taking the lead, considerably. It's making for a dull match, but a win will see them leapfrog Liverpoo.
