Stoke’s night has now got a little more difficult. That was a well worked goal with Herrera overlapping on the left wing to take Mata’s pass and cross in for Fellaini.

GOAL United! And it’s Marouane Fellaini who climbs at the back post to score his first Old Trafford goal from Herrera’s cross.

Lovely little bit of trickery from Young but his cross doesn’t quite fall to Mata and Stoke clear.

Assaidi momentarily has two on two but he cuts inside and that allows United players to get back across.

Poor cross from Herrera is easily cut out. He’ll have to show his worth tonight.

STAT: James Wilson is the 26th different player to start a PL match for Man Utd this season (the most in the division, ahead of QPR with 24). Southampton have had the fewest number of different PL starters this season (15), followed by Chelsea (16).

Decent spell of possession from the visitors it ends with a Pieters cross that is cut out. Patient play though.
