Carrick is now starting to get going in midfield, but his pass to Fellaini is signposted and City clear. Toure is still moaning about a challenge by Smalling a moment earlier.

Young's dinked free-kick is headed back into the danger area by Fellaini, but there is no red shirt steaming in and City clear.

Young finds Herrera inside 35 yards from goal - the Spaniard is clumsily brought down by Milner, who gets the first yellow card of the match.

Navas tries a deep corner to Aguero on the edge of the area but Mata is very brave to make a block at point-blank range.

Silva dinks the ball over the top for Milner down the right flank but De Gea is out to boot clear for a throw.

Milner breaks down the left and finds Clichy, but Aguero is unable to beat Jones at the near post and Carrick clears the loose ball under pressure from Silva.

United are now trying to slow things down in midfield, but City are pressing so hard. Aguero chases down De Gea and almost embarrasses the Spaniard.

Jones is across to cut off Milner's angled ball to Aguero. Milner is such a fine, versatile player for the Premier League champions.

This is a great rough and tumble Premier League match so far. City break again through Aguero, but United can clear.

Young breaks down the right and draws the foul from Clichy, who angrily tells the referee that the England winger dived. Clichy then heads clear Mata's free-kick.
