GOAL! Gerrard makes no mistake from the spot as he passes the ball to Lloris' left. The keeper goes the right way but couldn't make the save.

PENALTY! Blatant trip by Rose on Sturridge as he dribbles through the Spurs defence. Blatant trip.

Dier does brilliantly to head the ball clear. He goes chasing after it but miskicks the ball and gifts Liverpool a throw in their own half.

The ball gets played over the top to Moreno but the full back manages to win a corner off Walker.

Spurs use the ball well and move it wide to Walker. The ball comes bakc to Mason and he drills it into Kane but he can't turn and get his shot away.

Eriksen with a deflected ball into the box which was dropping nicely for Lamela on the volley but he opts for a pass and the move fizzles out.

Lamela nicks the ball off Gerrard and Bentalebb tries a through ball to Kane but it is just too far ahead of him.

Liverpool start the half well and retain possession with no pressure.

And Phil Dowd toots his whistle and Spurs get us underway in the second half. All to play for.

And that is half time! This one is very delicately poised!

POST! Sturridge hits the post after a back heel! Ibe does well to get a cross in. Vertonghen clears it against Mason and it drops to Sturridge but he has his back to goal and improvises but can only find the upright. Great effort.

Yellow for Sakho after Dembele absolutely spins him ont he half way line and tap tackles him with his hand to stop him breaking.

Walker is dispossessed by Moreno and Liverpool break down the wing but Dier gets back well to clear.

Coutinho tries a cross with the outside of his boot but it drifts out of play.

gerrard delivers a good free kick into the box but Walker clears and is helped out by Lamela on the edge of the area.

Bentaleb tries to break but Gerrard cuts it out with a great tackle on halfway. Liverpool then go in on goal with Moreno but he can't find anyone in the box and Spurs are able to clear.

OFFSIDE! Lamela lays in Kane into the area but he drifts in on the spin and is flagged offside before he can get his shot away.

Skrtel leaves one on Harry Kane on the half way line and is booked for the scrape down his ankle.

Mason tries to nutmeg Gerrard but the old campaigner is too wiley and manages to slip the ball to Markovic. He is held up well though by Kane who works tirelessly to get back at him.

Liverpool on the coutner here with Coutinho as he gives the ball to Sturridge. HE plays a big switch to Ibe who drifts inside and smashes one on target but Lloris is able to gather at the second attempt.
