FULL-TIME: Everton 2-1 West Ham - Everton secure their fifth successive win over West Ham United and extend their current unbeaten run in the league this season to five games. In the end, the hosts were well worth the victory, with Eto'o's delivery to Osman for his landmark-capping goal a fitting bit of skill to seal the result. Yet West Hams will feel aggreived that the Toffees finished the game with 11 men on the pitch.

West Ham look to try and muster their numbers and swarm the Everton box, but another high delivery is captured by Howard who smothers the ball. The final whistle lingers over Goodison.
93'
Besic attempts to drive the ball forward, but it's rebounded and sent to Vaz Tae on the right wing. The Portuguese forward attempts a cross as Carroll and Co. take up position in the box. It's more of a blast than a delivery though and it sails wide.
92'
Eto'o stands over the ball before palying it short to Lukaku. Osman collects it off the two forwards and bursts to the byline. Eto'o keeps running and arrives in the box for Everton's 400th appearance maker to give it back to him. However, the Cameroonian sends it wide with the goal at his mercy. He looks like he can't believe he missed that.

There will be five minutes of added time here, and West Ham are wasting none of it as they send plenty of bodies forward. A long delivery is caught by Howard however who sends the ball up to Lukaku. He plays Coleman in as the Irishman makes a powerful run down the right. His shot is sent behind for a corner.

EVERTON SUBSTITUTION: Naismith is replaced by on-loan Chelsea attacker, Christian Atsu. The youngster hasn't made the impact this season that Gerard Delafeou managed last year, but he's rated almost as highly by his coaches at Stamford Bridge.

First blood! It's not quite a development on the combative themes that earlier threatened to escalate at times this afternoon however. Naismith goes down with a bit of crimson trickling out of his leg. It looks as though he was could by a stud. He's being carried off on a stretcher.

Both sides complain abou decisions that fail to go their way. First, Carroll protests about being held back in the Everton box but is waved away. Moments later, Lukaku spurts down the left only to be pulled up by the referee's whistle. He turns around perplexed as to what the problem is. Is today's match going to stutter to a grinding halt?

WEST HAM SUBSTITUTION: Ricardo Vaz Tae on for Morgan Amilfitano. The Portuguese forward replaces the Frenchman, who has been on the receiving end of a fair amount of abuse today from his Blue-shirted markers. Can Vaz Tae find a late leveller?

Besic's introduction was needed. Moments earlier, some of Everton's possession play had looked a bit loose, and it almost gifted West Ham a chance to couner after Tomkins caught Osman on the ball.

EVERTON SUBSTITUTION: Muhamed Besic comes on for Ross Barkley to shore up the Everton midfield with his tackling and energy. Eto'o has played his role as attacking super sub well so far. Can Besic now kill he game in order to secure the three points for the Toffees?
78'
Everton look to be trying to take the sting out of the game now, passing it amongst themselves even around the half-way line. Eto'o heads the ball out to Barkley who passes it back inside to Osman, who gives it back to Eto'o. It's keep ball time.

James Collins almost equalises for West Ham! Jarvis runs down the left channels and fires a shot at Howard's far post, forcing the keeper to block the ball with his shins. The ball falls to the Welsh central defender, who could have been carded for his challenge on Lukaku, who makes a bit of a mess of it. Let down by a defender's touch in front of goal.

GOAL! Everton 2-1 West Ham (Osman) - Clattenberg plays advantage to Everton as Lukaku is taken out by Collins. Yet the West Ham defender's cynical challenge only succeeds in sending the ball into Eto'o's path, who streams out to the right side of the box to draw Adian and the backpeddling defenders. With his markers committed, the Cameroonian sends in a beautiful pass across the box to Leon Osman who is free on the left. The Evertonian doesn't miss, and fires home into an almost open goal to marks his 400th appearance with a goal. Narrative strikes again!
72'
There's still plenty of antagonism out on the field: lots of barging shoulders and angsty frowns between opponents. It all seems a bit much, but then again either side look ready to grab a winner.
70'
Tony Hibbert wins a throw in the left corner of the field, but the opportunity to build on the ground made by Everton's makeshift left-back is soon lost as West Ham storm down the field. Jarvis almost follows the lead of his fellow sub Zarate with a dangerous shot, but it hits the side netting.

West Ham have a freekick after Ross Barkley fouls. It's sent in to Carroll, who isn't able to make anything out of it but does keep the ball alive. He sends it into the channel for Amilfitano who hits a shot that is knocked behind. It's a West Ham corner but it comes to nothing.
67'
West Ham are playing slightly more defensively now, with Everton able to push their defensive line right up to the half-way line when in possession. Perhaps, with Jarvis and Zarate now on, Allardyce is confident his team have the capacity to sit back and break at speed?

EVERTON SUBSTITUTION: Samuel Eto'o is on for Kevin Mirallas, with Everton looking for a goal to keep their fearsome record against West Ham intact. It's probably a wise move removing Mirallas from play too given his reaction to Tomkins.

Cresswell flahses another low cross into the Everton box, but it's cleared by Howard's defenders. The ball then finds its way to Zarate out on the left, who sends in another ball, this time to the far post, where Andy Carroll is leaping to reach it. Howard clears the danger however.
