GOAL! Everton 0-2 Sunderland. Defoe scores - Fletcher runs into the box and around five defenders as the chance seems to pass. As he falls he toes the ball to Johnson, whose shot flicks off Coleman, onto Defoe's thigh and into the goal.

Fletcher is on for Larsson, and Bridcutt is on for Wickham. Having seen a replay of Defoe's challenge - it was a foul, he caught his right foot.

Lukaku curls in a brilliant cross for Coleman at the back post, who falls as Defoe bothers him from behind. The crowd appeal for a penalty but nothing is given. Lukaku is then free on the left in the box, but the angle favours Howard.

Lennon comes forward down the right, cuts inside to shoot with his left, and Gomez races back to tackle as he lines up an effort.

Lukaku reaches a ball into the box from Mirallas, and fires over. He was offside anyway.

McCarthy drives into the box, past two defenders with some fortunate bounces, but leans back and fires over.

Johnson gets to the byline, and his pullback is cleared by Jagielka.

Johnson is on for Graham. Garbutt is on for Baines. Coleman booked for a foul on Defoe.

Nothing from the corner, but Everton keep the ball. McCarthy has room for a shot from outside the box, and he catches a shot excellently, beating Pantilimon for pace, and the ball crashes off the post.

Baines plays the ball inside for Mirallas, but his shot is deflected wide. Another corner for Everton.

Sunderland are holding on well enough.

Mirallas comes inside from the left to fire well over.

Lukaku wins the corner and the ball drops to Stones, and he completely misses the ball. Defoe is now booked for a cynical defensive challenge. Another corner misses Osman, Barkley wins it on the left, and his cross is blocked.
