Good afternoon and welcome to LIVE coverage of table-topping Chelsea's Premier League clash with Hull from Stamford Bridge.

Huddlestone's wayward pass almost puts his side in trouble, but Chester reads the danger and sends the ball upfield.

Chelsea continue to boss the game as Costa and Ivanovic link well down the right, but Robertson is on hand to make a well-timed challenge.

Livermore has Hull's first attempt on goal with a half-volley from 25 yards. The midfielder doesn't make great contact and skews his effort wide.

Hull have a chance to get the ball into the Chelsea penalty area with a set-piece, but the referee blows for a foul immediately as Davies is penalised for a high foot on Terry.

That is indeed the end of the day for Dawson, who is replaced by the Hull boss' son, Alex Bruce.

Further blow for Hull as Michael Dawson goes down clutching at his hamstring. That looks like the end of the game for the Hull centre-half.

GOAL!! Chelsea 1-0 Hull. The home side open the scoring in the most comfortable manner, and it's through an Eden Hazard header. Oscar receives the ball on the left flank, cutting inside Robertson to cross for the Belgian. Hazard rises, unchallenged, and nods home from 8 yards. Easy.

The home crowd are chanting "Diego" as Chelsea's man striker looks to bully his way through the Hull defence, to no avail.

Jose Mourinho's side have seen all of the ball in these opening minutes. But Hull are defending resolutely.

The hosts build a promising attack and have the visitors penned in their own. Filipe Luis receives the ball on the edge of the penalty area, but is on his wrong foot to shoot. He elects to loft a pass over the top but there's too much on it. Goal kick.

Terry falls awkwardly following a challenge with Jelavic and is holding his wrist as play continues. The captain looks in some pain, but will surely continue.

Hull rob Chelsea of possession early on and look to move forward with Jelavic and Aluko. The former's touch lets him down on the wing, however, and he runs the ball out for a Chelsea throw.

The match is under way. Diego Costa and Oscar kick off for the hosts.

We're just five minutes away from kick-off now. Both teams are making their way onto the field for the usual pre-match formalities.

Hull go into today's match in the bottom three, having endured a tricky last month, though they're just one point adrift of safety. But boss Steve Bruce is hoping the Tigers can string a few wins together over Christmas and make their way back up the table. "Now’s a big month for us. Let’s hope we can win a few and put us back up to mid-table, which is where we want to be. It’s been a difficult period but, hopefully, now we’ve got some players back we’ll see the real Hull again."
