Good afternoon, and welcome to Eurosport's coverage of this weekend's 3pm blockbuster for the hard-hitting realists: Burnley versus West Ham United at Turf Moor. Supermarkets are already testing the seasonal sensibilities of the nation with their themed aisles and premature Christmas promotions, yet today's game does have something of a festive feel to it. December may be some weeks away, but given the hard working, direct styles of Burnley and West Ham their coming together looks set to be the sort of chocolate box footballing clash perfectly suited to a honestly fought Boxing Day ding dong. The scheming over in the dug out will be between the ghosts of provincial northern underdog overachievers of seasons past and seasons present with Sam Allardyce, formerly of Bolton and Blackburn, facing off against Burnley's Sean Dyche in a battle of tactical wits and shirts and ties. Both bosses will happily to sacrifice the jovialities to grab a result however, with the hosts still stuck in the

FULL-TIME: Burnley 1-3 West Ham. Sam Allardyce pumps his fist into the air towards the away support as his players walk off to the dressing rooms. He's got his wish: back-to-back wins, won in some style with plenty of goals and threat in the opposition's half. For Sean Dyche, the way forward looks a little brighter thanks to the return of Ings, who had his moments against James Collins and Co. but Burnley remain in deep and serious trouble without a win in eight games. That's also their mini unbeaten run done for too.
90'+4
James Collins' head has been thwacking balls out of dangerous positions like a tennis racket this afternoon. The Welshman isn't lacking for power in his neck muscles. Burnley on the other hand haven't dealt with aerial dangers well enough today.

Another Burnley corner, but it comes to nothing and again West Ham break. Sakho runs clear of his markers and is played in on goal. It's between him and Heaton. Can he beat the goalkeeper? It doesn't matter. His run has been ruled offside.
90'+1
Burnley corner. They look to take it quickly, but it's not quick enough to outfox the West Ham defence, who quickly gang up on the Clarets' key jumpers. Boyd once again gets a chance to shoot from just outside the melee but this time he can't make anything of the chance. The ball is soon sent back up the pitch by West Ham.

We're into the closing stages of the game. Five minutes of injury time are called. West Ham have a corner. James Collins can only head it wide and over. Can Burnley get back into this with that generous amount of added time?
89'
Now it's West Ham's turn to try and inflate the score line once more. Cole staggers into the Burnley area, but he is eventualyl dispossessed by the Clarets, who gang up on his to prevent a fourth goal.

Marvin Sordell runs free into the West Ham penalty area, and tries to run around Adrian with the rest of the Hammers' defence nowhere to be seen. However, the linesman rules him to be offside.

Barnes hits the woodwork for Burnley! The substitute finds himself ahead of the defence as he sprints for the near post but his shot cannons off the cross bar and back out of the box. Dyche jumps up and smashes his fists into his side in frustration in his technical area.

3-1? West Ham will take that as a result, at least that's what their team's shape suggests. The Hammers are dropping back slightly and looking to get organised in midfield and at the back. Yet with Nolan now on, it wouldn't be a surprise if they tried for some more aerial attacks against Heaton and Co.

Ings is coming off for Marvin Sordell while Nathan Chalobah replaces Kightly as Burnley make their second and third changes of the game. Over in the other technical area, Kevin Nolan is given a few instructions as he trades places with Song.

We're into the final 10 minutes and things a getting a bit tense and nervy. Burnley's defenders look very rigid in their body language as they look to shunt another ball forward. It can't feel good being on the back end of a 3-1 scoreline after watching your team mates fail to convert so many chances in the first half.
79'
Oh dear. Song is down after a tackle by Kightly and on replay it looks quite nasty. The Burnley winger goes flying into the Cameroonian's upper thigh with his studs high and his foot raised, raking down after making contact. It probably wasn't as intentional as it was severe, but it was a stupid act from the wide man. Had he been sent off, Burnley's day would have been over.
77'
Ben Mee cuts out what would have been a certain goal, as Cole is played in down the left-hand channel by Sakho with the Burnley defence disappearing at the last minute. The right-back is able to just about get back and snuff out the danger however.
76'
It's getting a bit feisty out there. Arfield comes together with Amalfitano, who comes off worse against the Scot. There's no card or caution however, as both players gave as good as they got in the challenge. Burnley have to get something out of this game if they aren't to sink ever further into the mire though so we could be in for an intense, aggressive and desperate last 15 minutes.
73'
Downing! The winger-turned-playmaker tries another ambitious effort, this time from just outside the box. He rifled off a powerful shot that streaked diagonally over the box towards the far corner, but it's a little over-egged and flies wide.
72'
The substitutes are already well involved. First Cole makes it 3-1, then Barnes attempts to muster up a response at the other end, but the Burnley man's effort is palmed over the bar by Adrian. The corner comes to nothing.

GOAL! Burnley 1-3 West Ham (Cole): The West Ham cult hero makes it three with 20 minutes to go. Again its from a high and direct ball, this time from a set piece. Burnley are being bludgeoned into submission from dead ball situations here.

A few more titbits from the good people over at Infostrada. Both of Valencia’s two Premier League goals for the Hammers this season have come away from home, while Boyd's strike was only his third top flight goal, on his 35th appearance in the competition. All three have come during home games.
66'
Just in case there was any doubt, the replays confirm that Burnley's headed clearance off the line definitely wasn't a goal. The player may have been over the line when he headed it away, but the ball didn't come close.

Lukas Jutkiewicz is replaced by Ashley Barnes as Burnley make their first substitution of the afternoon. The Pole has looked lively but ultimately wasteful at the front, although most of the opportunities he failed to convert were half-chances at best.
