Villa have gone three hours and 20 minutes without scoring a Premier League goal, and their lack of a good striker will hurt them again today in all likelihood. They have won just one of the eight Premier League games that Christian Benteke has missed this season, netting only six goals in the process.

Garry Monk was equally cautious: "Villa are a young side who are very energetic, and we can't take anything for granted. It's going to be a really tough game for us, and I have been stressing to the players this week that there is still work to do for us this season."

Both sides have been pulled into the relegation battle over the last few weeks, but Paul Lambert claims that won't affect his Villa men's mindset: "They won't be nervous. That won't come into it. You give them the belief that they will go and win, and I know we have a goal threat. I know we have that attacking threat. We know we're up against a good side in Swansea but we will go with the confidence to win."
