Graham has half a chance but he is sorely lacking confidence and Coloccini clears.

GOOOAL!! Elmohamady rises highest to flick the Brady free-kick past Krul and in off the post. The former Sunderland man was in acres – poor defending.

GOOOAL! What a finish. Santon finds Cabaye on the edge and he works a yard to shoot but his effort is blocked by Chester. Unfortunately for Hull the ball falls to Remy who instinctively re-arranges his feet to tuck the ball home from 12 yards out and at an angle.

Almost a loose back pass from Yanga-Mbiwa there but Graham fails to chase it down with any sort of conviction and Krul lashes it up field.

Ben Arfa gets the ball from Cisse, who again works the channels well, and works a bit of space but rather than shoot he lays off to Cabaye who whips an effort toward the top corner – it doesn’t have the required accuracy though.

Sissoko, who was dominant early on, is on the periphery now and Newcastle are missing his dynamism.

That tactic of going long is beginning to stretch the game and the home side are failing to get the men in support as they did earlier.
