Parker has the first real effort on target. The former West Ham and Tottenham man sees the space open up in front of him thanks to runs from Ruiz and Bent so decides to have a pop at goal. It’s hit well but is straight at Vorm, who gathers easily.

Kasami robs Canas of the ball and bursts through the centre of the Swansea half and towards the penalty area. He’s harried by Rangel and goes down just inside the box, but referee Andre Marriner waves play on.

After a very positive start that saw the hosts see a lot of the ball, they’re now surrendering possession far too easily.

Fulham defend the set-piece and then a number of resulting crosses very well. The Fulham penalty area is loaded but their defence stand firm. Swansea looking more like their usual selves now.

De Guzman is the man to take the free-kick. It’s hit with real pace but cannons off the wall and out for a corner.

Richardson gives the ball away deep in his own half, putting his defence under pressure. Bony takes over and looks to break into the Fulham penalty area but is pulled down by Parker on the edge of the penalty area. Decent chance, this...

Swansea are looking to settle down into their usual free-flowing passing game, but they’re being hurried by the hosts and are losing the ball far too often.

Lovely effort from Berbatov, though he's offside. Parker floats a ball into the Swansea penalty area towards the Bulgarian who has pulled away from his man. His overhead kick is on target but doesn't trouble Vorm.

The hosts have seen a lot of the ball in the opening minutes of this clash. The ball is being passed around their own half but they're not really posing any threat.

Feel free to get in touch with to let us know how you think this game will go. Can Fulham claim an all-important win and drag themselves out of the relegation zone or will Swansea compound even more misery on their opponents? Let me know either on the comments section at the bottom of the page or on Twitter @JoshuaHayward99.

Michael Laudrup's men now face the challenge of 12 games in 43 days and the boss believes that a victory today could spur Swansea onto an excellent second half of the season. He said: "I go to this game as the first game of 12 games in 43 days. I know all managers – myself included – say that all the games are important but, for me, this is one of the most important games of our next 12. It is so important that we bring that performance but, most importantly, get the result."
14:20
Swansea currently 13th in the Premier League table and come into the match - albeit via an international break - off the back of a very important draw against Stoke. The Swans trailed by two goals before fighting back to 3-3, though they were very unfortunate to concede a controversial late penalty.

Martin Jol spoke of his excitement at bringing in the Dutchman: "I'm really pleased (Rene Meulensteen's) here. I thought he was making a choice to go elsewhere - first to Germany and then Qatar. It was maybe by coincidence that I texted him again and he said that he'd come back to England. We needed something, more rhythm. We weren't playing with rhythm and we needed more energy. I thought we needed something and he's the right guy. But now we need the results."

The Cottagers will be boosted by the appointment of former Manchester United coach, Rene Meulensteen, who joins the club after being touted as a possible replacement for Ian Holloway at Crystal Palace as well as a number of high-profile jobs across Europe.

Fulham have struggled so far this season and currently lie 18th in the league table. Martin Jol's side haven't collected a win since October 21 when they beat Crystal Palace 4-1, so will be desperate to collect all three points today.
