Half-time. This game has thrummed along pleasantly enough, with Seamus Coleman's excellent goal the obvious highlight.

Baines's free-kick from wide on the left is right on the money, but McCarthy cannot make clean contact has he arrives.

Baines tries to get to the left byline but finds Fonte blocking his progress. Chambers then concedes a free-kick with a foul on Oviedo and Baines will deliver this...

Lukaku continues to work the channels diligently and comes away with a throw on the Everton right.

Ward-Prowse controls at the edge of the box but slices wildly at his shot and it spins harmlessly over the bar.

Brilliant flick and turn by Lallana to take out Distin and Osman, but he drags his shot wide of the right-hand post!

Fonte is cool in his own box under pressure from Oviedo, but Everton's spell of dominance continues.

Naismith finds Lukaku down the right and he has an unmarked Oviedo in the middle... but his low cross is blocked! Vital intervention, or else that would surely have been two!

Lovren hits another forward pass that manages to bypass both Lallana and Lambert, both by no more than a nanometre.

Coleman races inside from the right again, Shaw is beaten but Lovren comes across to help the ball out for a corner.

Lovren finds Lallana who tries to find Lambert, but hits the ball behind the striker.

Barkley slides in on Lovren and nearly finds Lukaku - it's not quite coming off, but Everton look dangerous and Southampton are stretched here.
