A lovely little exchange between Ozil and Arteta unfortunately culminates in the offside flag.
Giroud wins a free-kick from Hooiveld but Arsenal waste it. The forward was down for a minute or two there and you could sense the concern.
Szczesny does well to come and punch the corner clear – he is beginning to dominate his area better these last few weeks.
Poor, poor clearance from Arteta falls to Lallana and his dipping effort is tipped over by Szczesny.
Hhhmmm - we'll have to see how this game progresses but the keeper has not done too well here.
Yep - it was a shocker.
Wanyama is seriously overworked here in the centre of the pitch – one too many loose passes putting the visitors under unnecessary pressure.
He has been so good this season!
16 of Olivier Giroud’s 17 PL goals have been scored in London (13 at Emirates). (Infostrada)
Clyne is in behind but Gibbs manages to get back at him – he took a touch too many. Corner.
Boruc gets his first touch since his mishap as the Arsenal fans rib him.
Now Clyne gives away a loose one – the Saints are in disarray. Wanyama mops up though
That was dreadful. What was he doing? He tried about three Cruyff turns.
GOOOAL!! Oh dear. What is Boruc doing. He hangs on to the ball for far too long and Giroud steals it and strokes home.
Southampton looking comfortable here despite not being left out of their half yet.
We have another slight break for the treatment to Wilshere.
Wanyama wins the ball cleanly but takes Wilshere out and the crowd are far from happy.
Ozil works some space down the right and finds Ramsey inside the box – the ball is fractionally behind the Welsh schemer who improvises incredibly well to flick the toward goal and it clips the post.
Arsenal are stroking the ball around beautifully well.
You really can see why Southampton are so frugal – they are serving to frustrate their hosts here.
Arsenal having the better of this one at the moment but the Saints continue to press well.
